Just like the other mini notebooks and netbooks available, HP Mini 311 netbook can be count in few of the small and fast machine, which can be a good selection for users who want to get reasonable technology in fewer prices.
HP Mini 311 looks nice and elegant with its deep black outer color and silver base.

With HP logo on cover HP Mini 311 looks decent and eye catching. Inner side of the screen area is coated shiny with black color and keyboard looks decent with silver color. HP Mini 311 is crafted with strong and flexible plastic which can last long once you take it out of the box but we notice few squeaking sound while opening and closing the lid and while we rest our hands on the sides on the touchpad we can hear the plastic squeaking. Means it required care while using or travelling.
HP Mini 311 is equipped with the usual Intel Atom N270 Processor 1.6 GHz, not any surprise for users as it a common processor available on all the netbooks available. For computing and executions of different programs it seems fine and can be said works on reasonable speed. HP Mini comes with 1GB of DDR3 SDRAM which is good enough to run normal or usual multimedia program with satisfactory speed, due to Intel Atom limited capacity of power.
HP Mini 311 has 11.6’ screen is good to watch videos or movies. With its resolution 1366×768 it seems better if you watching widescreen movies. HP Mini 311 colors and brightness are up to the mark but if comparing it with other netbooks, it’s less prominent and at times seems light and weak. With minor adjustments of colors and screen viewing angles HP Mini 311 it seems better and sharp. When it comes to graphics it a bit surprising that HP put in Nvidia Ion LE which makes your multimedia runs faster and smooth, thou it’s not that power to be said a gaming netbook but for older games and less graphics requirements it good.
HP Mini 311 keyboard seems very attractive with its shiny silver color. Keyboard is large in size and key are in a slight curve in shape to fit user’s fingers while typing. Spacing between keys are fine, typing can be smooth as silk. HP Mini 311 battery life is seems good enough with its Lithium Polymer battery to give you more than 4hours of battery back and more depends on utilizations.
